How to Use Turmeric As a Medicine

Turmeric is a herb from the ginger family. But its healing properties are not fully revealed yet.

Turmeric-based healing recipes:

Turmeric Tea -- Ideal for colds and headache

Pour ½ liter of boiling water over a teaspoon of grated turmeric and let it simmer for a while.

Add some grated ginger. Sweeten to taste and drink the tea while it is still hot.

Golden milk and turmeric

Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric, some cumin, salt and ½ tablespoon of butter to 2-3dl of milk. Heat the milk until it boils.

Drink it warm. Golden milk is known for its ability to soothe coughs.
