Days Of Our Lives Releases ‘Entire Cast’ From Their Contracts

TVLine informed the public that the stars of Days Of Our Lives won’t come back. Their contracts were terminated and the soap opera is reaching its hiatus. The whole thing is expected to end by the end of this month. We don’t have any information on the future plans for the TV show.

Days Of Our Lives struggled in the ratings, and talk shows and cable TV became a tough competition.

NBC’s daytime show was first broadcasted in 1965, and today, it’s the last soap opera on their program. Days Of Our lives was huge for decades, and it was one of the most popular shows in the US.

Jennifer Aniston’s dad John Aniston is one of the biggest stars of the show. The 86-year-old plays Victor Kiriakis. Kristian Alfonso became Hope Alice Williams, Nadia Bjorlin was Chloe Lane, Mary Beth Evans was Kayla Brady and we watched Deidre Hall taking the role of Marlena Evans.

NBC hasn’t released an official statement on the show. Along with its parent company Sony, NBC works on the 2020 program and its content.

Americans are watching the 55th season of Days Of Our Lives.

Sony’s representative said the studio has nothing to do with stars’ contracts, adding that Corday Productions is taking care of it.

The show shoots eight months before it’s aired. Days Of Our Lives has enough episodes to keep you amused until the summer of 2020.

NBC planned to go ahead with Days Of Our Lives if they would need to film again in March as noted on the site. If producers go for another season, they will probably contact the cast and ask them to ink new deals. The salary would go low, of course.

According to an insider, this was nothing but a “cynical, business move.” If the show is picked up, Corday may offer the stars new contracts at low salary. He may even bring in that take-it-or-leave-it attitude. It’s a tough game. They may lose half their cast, but Corday may also make everyone shoot for a lower salary.

Days Of Our Lives is the most widely distributed soap opera in the country. It’s set in the fictional Midwestern town of Salem.

The story is based on the everyday life of the Hordon, Brady, Kiriakis, Hernandez and DiMera families. It was created by Ted and Betty Corday.

Most of the stars have been filming the soap opera for decades. Frances Reid stayed on the cast from its beginnings to her death in 2010.

Suzanne Rogers is the longest-filming cast member. She’s been filming since 1973.

Susan Seaforth Hayes is the only star to appear on the show in all six decades.

Due to the stiff competition brought by talk shows and cable TV, the NBC daytime TV show has been facing issues in terms of ratings.

Yet, NBC has to comment on the speculation. The cast of Days Of Our Lives has criticized allegations that the long-running show will canceled. Veteran star Kristian Alfonso explained to DailyMailTV: ‘It’s totally wrong, we’re still here’.

At the moment, the network and its parent company Sony are choosing the programs that will stay in 2020.
