How To Make Turmeric Pain Relief Tea

Usually, whenever we experience a headache, pain in the back or pain in other parts of the body, we immediately reach for medications based on ibuprofen (Motrin, Nurofen, Advil and Nuprin) so we can relieve the pain.

Ibuprofen has the ability to provide immediate relief from any type of pain, but will not solve the long-term problems inside the body.


The excessive consumption of these pills can cause side-effects including gastrointestinal bleeding, diarrhea, nausea, hypertension (high blood pressure), increased risk of heart attack, erectile dysfunction, and potential kidney cancer formation.

Turmeric Tea Recipe

Needed Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric or 2 tablespoons grated fresh turmeric root
  • 4 cups water
  • Fresh lemon/honey to taste


You need to boil some water and add the turmeric when the water reaches its boiling point. If you are using fresh grated turmeric, you should boil for 15-20 minute.

Then, strain the tea well, and add the lemon and honey to make its taste better. Your tea is ready. Enjoy!
