Guess what… Your night out can actually boost your health. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should have those shots coming. We’re talking about a smooth night out, nothing “aggressive.”

A group of researchers from the University of Oxford conducted a study and revealed the steps women should take to be happier and healthier. In other words, women need to go out with their friends at least twice a week.

Robin Dunbar, lead researcher and world famous psychologist reported that women will boost their health by going out with four best friends twice a week and “doing things.”

Yes, women like to gossip, drink beer and talk about their rivals, and these “things” can actually improve their health. Women will have enough time to drink, socialize and laugh with their friends.

These outings will boost women’s immunity and speed up the recovery process, while increasing generosity levels and helping them cope with anxiety.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Dunbar said we spend the same amount of time (2 weeks) with our loved ones which helped them determine the right amount of time you should spend with your friends.

Having a rich social network has a huge impact on your physical and emotional health, and this applies to both sexes.

According to researchers, 2 out of 5 women go out with their friends. Other women go less, and usually they have a husband and kids who need their attention and care.

The research showed that women have the best interaction when they laugh and joke, and the size of the group has a huge impact too. But, try to stick in groups of 5.

Anything more than this will actually provide a different effect. Experts recommend a group of four.

Alias Ruby Bash, PsyD, LMFT, explains that when compared to men, women need to nourish their friendships. This booss their serotonin and oxytocin production. Studies conducted at Stanford provided the same results. Women need to go out and connect with other women.

This bonding becomes even more important as women age. Hanging out with your friends can actually take the load of their back.
